My city is experiencing a period not very happy with regard to the crime that has as perpetrators especially the immigrants. Not a day goes by that you do not hear reports of robberies or thefts in homes, violence, rapes committed against the citizens of Reggio Emilia and abroad by immigrants. For some time now, we feel a sense of unease and insecurity that the current city administration has not able to fill, too preoccupied to integrate those who do not want to be integrated to protect its citizens from the oppression of others.
The state of insecurity that pervades all of us, unfortunately, is confirmed by data relating to crimes committed by foreigners. Do you think that in northern Italy, immigrants are 57% of those charged for robbery in the public highway, 59% for robbery in the apartment and 71% for pickpocketing.
These figures are particularly worrying considering that foreigners account for only 5% of the Italian population.
It was noted that 83% of all non-prisoners was devoid of a residence permit. This means that most of the foreign crime is lurks in the irregular component of immigrants.
